    Once upon a time, there was my own photo studio in the small, sleepy town of Mettlach-Tünsdorf, in the even smaller Saarland region. A stone's throw from the Saar Loop. Of course, the studio wasn't always there. It all started in 2000. One by one, my children were born. Up until then, I'd had hardly anything to do with photography. But I wanted to document my children growing up. So, the first digital camera arrived. Somehow, from that moment on, I was hooked and didn't want to let go. So, I got the Sony F717, with a whopping 5 megapixels. After photographing all sorts of things for a long time, in 2018, the first people and animals came before my camera. In February 2020, I registered my business, and "Unikat-Foto" was born.

    When I'm not holding a camera, I'm very active in my personal life. With a family, two sons, a house, and a yard, things are never dull. There's always something going on. Besides that, I enjoy mountain biking off-road with friends to test my limits. And as you can see from the pictures, the trumpet and flugelhorn aren't just props in the photo studio. I'm one of the trumpet players in the Tünsdorf music club. I'm involved with it body and soul.

    Every now and then I leave everything behind for a moment. Then I sit on my old 1976 AME chopper and enjoy everything in slow motion.

    But there's also my sanctuary. To keep it from completely atrophying, I occasionally sink into meditation. Sometimes you just need to do nothing ;-)).

    Well, as you can see, things are always exciting within my four walls.

    Oh, one more thing, I almost forgot. For the past few years, I've been playing with stuffed animals again. No, not what you're thinking. You might have already seen the children's picture book on the News page. These little and big balls of yarn keep things exciting and engaging until the picture from my head is captured and displayed on the screen.
